No doubt, this cheerful fragrance helped to lift the spirits of many war weary and hard working factory women during World War II. Apple Blossom was priced around $1 a dram during the war and the light, Apple Blossom scent most likely symbolized youth and happiness to these women who probably continued to wear the fragrance well after the war was over and bought it for their teenaged daughters.
